The ones who grow the fruit
More about us:

Paula Charnock
Fourth Generation Farmer
Growing up on an orchard in Orange, Paula’s love for farming blossomed from an early age. Dedicated to the land and its people, Paula spent 20 years with NSW Department of Primary Industries, gaining expertise in stored grain insects, soils, salinity, and agronomy. Her commitment to community runs deep; she’s served on numerous committees like Landcare, P&C, and local progress associations, always striving to make a positive impact.
Paula finds joy in the heart of her community, whether it’s sharing stories at the CWA, exploring the beauty of the bush, or relaxing with friends over a glass of local prosecco. Her passion for agriculture and people infuses everything we do.
Allan Charnock
Hillside Orchard
After retiring from a rewarding teaching career, Allan now manages Hillside Orchard with passion and dedication. A true sports enthusiast, Allan has played everything from AFL and water polo to basketball, mixed netball, and his favourite - golf. In fact, his love for golf inspired him to set up a driving range right in the paddock!
Allan’s background as an educator shines through in every farm tour he leads. He delights in sharing the journey of fruit, from paddock to plate, educating visitors about the hard work and care involved in growing quality produce. Whether he’s on the field or guiding guests through the orchard, Allan’s enthusiasm and knowledge make every visit memorable.

Paul Eccleston
Thornbrook Orchard
Trained as a mechanic, Paul was ready for a new challenge and traded his tools for a tractor to take on the management of the family’s original farm, Thornbrook.
Always forward-thinking, Paul is passionate about innovation—constantly seeking ways to improve traditional practices and lead the orchards into the future.
Outside the orchard, Paul is a dedicated triathlete, having completed numerous Ironman events. He’s now setting his sights even higher, preparing to compete at Roth, Germany next year.
